Robert Indiana

Robert Indiana took his artwork further. Taking what was simply just a print, and multiplying it massively in size, in to a huge sculpture for the whole of new york to see. Just as I want to take my photography further, I have taken inspiration from Robert Indiana, and want to do something bigger.

a little bit more information...

"The image was originally designed as a Christmas card for the Museum of Modern Art in 1964, and first exhibited as a sculpture in New York City in 1970. The original three-dimensional version of LOVE is made of COR-TEN steel and has been on exhibit at the Indianapolis Museum of Art since 1975.[1] The LOVE design has been reproduced in a variety of formats. Likewise, the sculpture has been recreated in multiple versions and a variety of colors, and is now on display around the world."

I loved this idea, taking 'love' and literally putting it where ever you felt like it. Just as love is everywhere 'love is in the air'. I've taken my original idea and expanded it to become something more than just photographs of people and their loved ones.
I'm going to create some sort of sculpture, lighting installation or archway that will enable me to invite people in to let me capture their love.
